PARK HALL ACADEMY PERFORMS MACBETH AT THE LICHFIELD GARRICK THEATRE AS PART OF UK-WIDE SHAKESPEARE SCHOOLS FESTIVAL

Park Hall Academy have been working hard over the last few weeks to perfect their production of Macbeth for their moment of glory on Monday 14 October.

Park Hall Academy have been working hard over the last few weeks to perfect their production of Macbeth for their moment of glory on Monday 14 October.

The Shakespeare Schools Festival (SSF) is the UK’s largest youth drama festival.  Each year 25,000 young people perform abridged Shakespeare plays in their local professional theatre across the UK. Each night four schools perform four thirty minute versions of Shakespeare plays.

The Festival is open to everyone, so any given performance night might include a play from a Grammar School, an Independent School, an Academy, a Comprehensive School, a Primary School or a Special School.

We have been working hard on our production for months. Our teacher took part in a training day run by SSF and soon our whole cast will have a workshop with SSF to prepare for our performance. We have even had in a professional stage combat artist to show us some moves! We are all looking forward to the big night, on a professional stage.

If you would like come and watch our performance of Macbeth at The Lichfield Garrick Theatre you can contact the box office on 01543 412 121.
