The new school opened its doors to students on schedule on 10th November 2008. Opposite are various drawings and images by the architects to give you an idea of what the school looks like. Images of the school will appear shortly. We have established a successful climate for learning; as acknowledged by HMI in their recent monitoring visit and our tracking of student progress indicates quite clearly a sharp increase in achievement and attainment at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. But we are not satisfied with that in itself and have set ourselves challenging targets for further improvement. This is an exciting project and the architect has designed an elegant purposeful building which will be both part of the community and emphasise the centrality of the students in moving forward.
