Background: Originally from Birmingham Dr Browne gained her first degree in Sociology and Political Studies at The University of Aston in Birmingham and a PGCE in Social and Political Studies at The University of Birmingham. She taught for two years in Burnley before returning to Solihull to take up a position at Park Hall School and to study part time for an MEd in Social and Political Studies. Dr Browne completed her PhD in December 2003 focusing on ’Contexts of Democratic Education.’

Position: Assistant Headteacher – Head of Social Science, Whole School Responsibility for Equal Opportunities and Lead Behaviour Professional.

 

Current teaching: ‘A/S’ Sociology; BTEC National in Early Years; GCSE Sociology; GCSE Health and Social Care; Y11 Citizenship.
