The mission of the Performing Arts Department at Park Hall Academy is to nurture the creative spirit of our students by providing a quality education in Music, Drama and Dance. Aims of the Performing Arts Curriculum

  • To promote an enjoyment of and an interest in the performing arts both as a participant and as an informed member of an audience.
  • To extend the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to communicate through dance, drama or music encouraging life-long learning and providing access to all related careers.
  • To provide a worthwhile, satisfying and complete curriculum of study that broadens experience develops imagination, fosters creativity and promotes personal and social development.
  • To encourage the appreciation of the significance of social, cultural and historical influences on the performing arts practice both past and present.
  • To extend the skills, knowledge and understanding developed throughout the curriculum in preparation for further study or career progression.
  • To contribute to the the growth of the learners in terms of confidence, self belief and communication skills.
