Physical Education Extra Curricular Report (Autumn Term)

High flying Park Hall Academy students take ‘gold’ at the West Midlands Schools Elite Trampoline Championships.

On Saturday 5 th December 2009 The Park Hall Trampoline Team became the West Midlands Elite under 15 Regional Trampoline Champions. The students performed beautifully and were rewarded with a massive overall score of 146.70.

Madison performed exceptionally well finishing in first place to become the West Midlands Schools Individual Under 15 Elite Champion. This achievement was particularly special because Madison beat a Great Britain International. A superb achievement and the huge smile on Madison’s face when she finished her routine was a joy to see. Well done Madison!

After a really successful morning all eyes were on Holly who was competing in the West Midlands Schools Under 15 Novice Championships. She competed in a huge field of 47 trampolinists. She has only been doing trampolining for just under a year. She completed two superb routines and much to everyone’s delight finished in second place individually. What a wonderful achievement.

The Park Hall Academy Trampoline Team came home with a haul of medals team Gold, individual Gold and individual Silver. Everyone was thrilled to bits with their achievements and parents and personal coaches John Price and John Wall were extremely proud. The girls will now compete in the Zonal Finals against Wales, East Midlands and the Eastern Region on 17th January 2010 in Nottingham. We wish them every success. Well done Park Hall Trampoline Team, you are definitely high flying students!

All year groups at Park Hall Academy have been entered into Solihull, Birmingham and West Midlands football cups this year. The year 10 team started with an excellent win but two away defeats followed at CTC and St Thomas Aquinas.
